Hello,

Guillaume here, from France, north of Lyon, in the Beaujolais area. I am a newbie on this forum, not a returning « old timer », but some of you may know me from the UK Ducati Forum. I subscribed here as I recently found myself a very beautiful and well preserved 851 SP2 and travelling cross country this week-end with a trailer to pick it up from its current owner. I can’t wait to discover this mythical bike and share things about it with this community on a dedicated thread.

Other than this, I have been riding Ducatis since 2004 (born in 1973, so still a youngster!).

My previous rides: 2001 900ssie, 2011 848 Evo, 2018 939 Supersport, 1996 916 biposto, 2004 998 Matrix.

My current rides: 1989 900 Supersport (#00054), 1996 916 SP3 (#098) and soon 1990 851 SP2 (#173) mentioned above. I also take care of my wife’s M796.

I do my own maintenance as I have a passion for tinkering with « old » greasy metal. And also because I have some time as a recently retired Air Force service member (served 28 years and still in the reserve).
