The problem I have is I have prostituted my self and rebuilt a bantam. Very sad. However it was a love job for this guys 79 yo dad. He bike from 50 years ago. Completely rooted, now like new. If you ever think I wouldn’t mind doing one of them….Dont!

So, now having had the kids leave, pancreatic cancer destroyed (unlucky Steve jobs), the endurance racer being run in, and the 888 SPGriffy just needing new belts, I’m taking it classic racing this year. It just makes it into period 7 unlimited. I figure apart from RC30’s (and nobody races them here) I can’t go wrong. I’m not the best rider, but I’ll out power, brake and handle everything else. Sort of cheating, but rules are rules.😀

And, to celebrate not dying (which is an incredible bonus I might add, I brought one of these babies. I had the privilege of test riding and selling the sports classics back in the naughties. If you ever owned or ridden a bevel twin and loved it, but felt it needed upgrading, these are it. Reminiscent of the good old SS, but everything works and is super comfortable. The price is coming off the boil as they fade away from public eye. Mind due there are still hopefuls, but having seen a recent 1974 750 sport on the market for $99000, it seems anything is possible currently. I’ve seen this before as economic uncertainty settles in and punters look for safe havens

I paid $28000, 1200km on the clock, but I just want ride, because funnily enough that’s what they were made for!😀

Oh, in case any body noticed, the bike I’m buying is running way lean, either the DP ecu wasn’t fitted or it needs a TPS reset. Simple fix.
