Mostly tonight I'm listening to BBC Radio Cornwall's Saturday Night Rock 'n' Roll Party, which tonight's featuring Rockabilly music from the 50's and
also a lot of British Rock 'n' Roll from the last 50 years.
I've been bopping around my workshop whilst porting a pair of early Bevel heads, if this pair don't sing I'll be suprised my fingers were finishing the ports in time with the rockin' tunes.
Crazy Cavan and Rythem Rockers are blasting a hot tune at this very moment.
It's heaven for an old Rocker/Biker like me...
Memories of young girls in flared skits and ponytails bopping/jiving with the chaps, Teddy Boys and Rockers/Bikers.
Where's my pudding basin helmet, (1953 TT Low crown, I've still got it, it's red with John Cooper Moon eyes on it) faded/patched 501's, Barbour wax cotten jacket, (with the tools/spares in the many pockets, I rode a Triumph back then) seaboot hose white socks turned over the almost knee high black leather Rivetts of Leytonstone E11 bike boots...
If it wasn't sooo far away I'd be off to the Ace Cafe tonight!
I feel like doing 'The Ton' tonight with these old tunes ringing in my ears!
Ah those were the days when 100 mph was an achievement on a home brewed special and when I hit 120 mph on my Trident I was stunned, I'd gone faster than the older lads that I looked up to!
The Gold Star and Vello boys carried huge adjustable spanners tucked into their boots back then, we'd fix our bikes when they broke down at the roadside.
None of this I'll use my mobile and call the recovery man back then!

That's enough of me sharing my Saturday night, I'm back off out into my workshop to bop some more....
It's Rock 'n' Roll as it should be played, Raw and as loud as my little workshop radio can take it.
Here come the memories again lads.
