Just a thought for the lads coming up from the West, the Castle and Ball pub in Marlborough where we meet is also a hotel and very cheap for B and B. If you fancy coming up on Saturday we could do 2 days riding locally with an evening meal thrown in? Hill climb on the Sunday and any survivors limp home later... Let me know and I will try to get a special 888 rate! Then Stafford can bring his out on the 6th 😉

Great idea Pomps on the 2 rides sandwiching an evening meal and some ale. Would you let us know closer to the time where you've got to on the special rate ? Given that it's last w/e of Easter, it would be good to book soonest, as they might be tight for available rooms.
Natty's suggestion of Prescott sounds good for the 7th, esp now that we know the organiser is an 888er.

Getting closer to the first Sunday! Just a quick couple of questions... Due to the large number of riders coming from further afield shall we start the meet at 11am or even 12 noon? It would allow a warmer start and lunch first before riding.? Secondly, Prescott Hill climb or a twisty route in a circle locally? Thoughts please chaps....

Pomps, I won't be able to play Sunday - my great plan to ride over to Loui's for a new clutch on Friday pm was thwarted by both my available batteries being u/s. With my only MOT'd ride now taken away, I'll wish you a safe and fun ride, and hope that the temperature is higher than last time.

I had a bit of a play with some modern Trumpets on the way back
They go fast but why do you nearly run up the back of them on the bends!

Monthly meet then Ace Cafe...?

I've been keen to come to one of these monthly meets in Marlborough but so far I've missed them because of work commitments, the next one (5th May) is the same day as the Italian Bike Day at the Ace.
Anyone up for meeting in Marlborough then on to the Ace?
