re starting the project bike which has been on the shelf gathering dust due to work. Just been to see Steve in Westbury to pick up rear and front racing subframes in alloy... Work of art stuff, very glad I made the investment into the project, it deserves the quality item. Cheers Steve and nice cake as always! 😉

Well after many months and lots of gaps whilst working away have finally got the 851 ready for MOT ... pictures to come but feeling excited about the thought of turning a wheel and getting ready for the track!

Many thanks, the light pods came with the bike in a box of old race bits. Endurance race model used them for sure. There is a video on this site showing Haga racing his 888 endurance bike and it has the same pod fitment. Not sure where they can be obtained from now...

That ties in with the story of the bikes life from the seller. Got to love the french flair with bikes, One of the best things about trips to Le Mans 24 hr was checking out the french bikes in the car park with passage de rue etc years before they became popular. And yet, with EU directives now you cant even change the indicators on a stock bike! So my local bike dealer tells me in Redon, Brittany...

Thats exactly the same full carbon fairing as mine ... I kept the number boards the natural carbon but may get some white number boards back on looking at that. Although the endurance rounds had black boards with white numbers as a rule ...

Blimey! That was the year I fell for the 888's! At Le Mans or Bol Dor? ... hence my passion for them and the zxr 750k1 sitting next to it. They got such a cheer when they finished that year. Going to endurance rep my K1 zxr into team france colours to. Tried to copy that picture but really small to enlarge. If possible could you email me a larger version Phil? pompeyis@aol.com

couldnt find any Haga but found some great footage of Carl foggarty and Raymond Roche on their 888's.
Try on YouTube "1992 world Superbike Review"....Good stuff...Foggy on bike no 7.
