Another question would be how the F'ck did you get it started? I think the standard starter motor/battery (even with a Hawker Odyssey) would struggle with that comp' on a bored and stroked motor. 14.1 with the right valve timing and good tuning is always possible on our 98/99 english gas. Problems happen when the final tune is poorly executed .

Any one who has taken out a 996 to 100mm bore?
Will the liner be thick enough?
I dont like to put a steele liner in the barrel.

Yes 100mm bore has been done without problems here. The pistol 100mm bore pistons are very expensive though as they are made in limited batches.

The pistol 98mm bore R2000 and R1999 pistons are both available in 100mm bore. I would use the r2000 version and remove some dome as they deliver a whopping 15.1. The 100mm bore version of the 1999 delivers approx 13.1 but has deeper pockets for G intake cams . Both R 2000 and R 1999 can take the G exhaust cam . R 2000 can only take a 270 degree intake cam tops and have approx 1.2mm clearance left

Head gaskets need machining or order some from cometic sized to suit.

My conection could not deliver any 100mm pistons (Pistal) for the moment so now I´m going for std 98 mm bore.
With the path I´ve had with this engine I think it will be just fine..😄
Hopfully I will get +130 rwhp anyway.

I have a batch of headgaskets in 94, 96, 98 and 100 mm of copper if any one is intersted.

New dyno !
It seems to be taking forever the prepare the cell . Its almost finished we installed the extraction yesterday. Just have to find a way to silence the large 20 inch steel ducting.

Did you get the 98mm pistons? I have a set of used pistal 996/2000 (14/1 comp) with new rings and wrist pins that I bought on Ebay that I dont need.

Finaly the engine is in one piece again.
The valves did not seal proper inthe heead where the piston had gone in pieces.
I had a set of spare 996 heads so I fitted them. I did not want to wait for the others to get fixed (they where ported bassa heads with 38,5/32mm valves). Still have the 748 R inlet cams and 996 sps outlet.
It now has pistal 98 hc pistons, st2 (2phase) crank and more or less complete leftside with one pick up system.
I´m going to run a Nemesis but any newer than p7/p8 would do.

I modified a throttle body from a 748 R. Its not that much work exept for the airbox. I did take them out from 44 to 48 mm in the inlet side. The butterfly is 54 so there is more to get if you want.
I´m going to replace the tps for linear one and also goiing to ´replace the yellow injectors (1 hole) for pink ones (12 holes). I heard that the pink ones gives smother run on small throttle openings.

I´m not sure if I´m going to get some foam and just make up my own filter or just try to fit the original size k&n filter in the front. I think I have to put a lid on as well. I´m not sure I can get it to seal enough to the tank.
Any suggestions?

Today I fitted the exhaust and I hope that I can start making the new wiring koom this weekend. Then I have to (or to be honest, having a friend) making some tables for converting the P8 sps files for the Nemesis (not the same matris(?)).

But I'm surprised that you didn't "Go the Whole Hog" and inc' the Corse style 'X' shaped air runners, which as well as giving a larger intake area would have increased the capacity even farther??
This set up would be very close to that fitted to the last Corse 888/926's.

Since I´ve only seen corse bikes on pics I realy don´t know how much differences there is on the frame. Its absolutely so that a carbonfiber or alloy tank, with new intakes,etc. is on the list to santa.
Im taking the air in from the front of the box so I will be able to kontiue to get a x type runner.
Allthough, going to Spain in March for trackdays at Arragon and Alcarras, and some other "not for free" project bikes (lav 500 calssic racer and a lav 3c-75)it has to wait.

I am running with larger vacuum cleaner airducts and there is absolutely no difference in the Dyno with the lid on or off. So, I don't think it matters for the power.
But X-type runners look nice and might would be possible to make them double as front subframe if they were modifyed some bit?

I´m a good freind with a guy working alot with Nemesis so I got one of those.
I had trouble first with the My Ecu so I went back to P8 with help from Henrik N. At that stage we could not get the emulator to work proper sp when I got the chance to buy a second hand Nemesis i bought one.

Today I would have gone for a p16.

Hi Tomas, can tell your mate not to fit a Nemisis to a Streetfighter. It will make the odometer run at double the milage, and the manufactures can do jack shit to fix it.

Who can´t fix? Ducati or Nemesis?
I don´t have an odosignal in for my Nemesis so no problem for me.
I guess (since many 10-1198 have Nemesis) its a software set up that is not corerct.

As far as i´m concern its up to the workshop that sold and installed it to fix or at least compensate for it.
I only know a swedish dealer but if you like i can talk to him obout it.

The X-type runners were actually used as the front subframe on the Corse bikes, they supported the the dash/consol/clocks, P8 ecu, ignitor boxes and the fairing.
