I think I was too busy with my mind elsewhere as I wrote that comment. Reading it back it didn't make much sense. I wont be changing cases now. It was more of a case if If I was spending money on 955 barrels, pistons and crank case machining I would be better off starting with the st4s cases and fitting what i have in there and selling the 916 top end. It seems that the larger capacity 998 is cheaper for pistons and cylinders.
I am too far in now! I am hoping to be finished with anything fiddly by the end of summer. I just want a good reliable motor that I can use frequently that is nice and grunty and I do not have to rev it much.
