I just ride the bikes down. The most fun was when my TPS went out and the bike would not run under 5K. Fun spinning the way back up the gravel !!

Nine16, how do you made that belly pan? did you start from an existing one?
I'm almost done with my track day bike, but i need to build a belly pan which can contain any liquid/oil leak.

Tom Teather made it. It's a modified 900SS pan, I believe. I'll get his contact info.

Haven't updated things in a while. I repacked and re-sleeved the Termignonis. Powdercoated the wheels white when it was time to change tires. And I'm currently in the Deals Gap area for a week before I head over to Barber Vintage Fest in a few days.

Thanks. There may be a couple worthy days, but I'm probably going to shut the 851 down for the season to repair the original tank.

Speaking of which, I can find the old style front straps, but can't remember where I saw the aluminum buttons to weld on the tank. Anyone?

Thanks, that a nice compliment with all the great bikes on this site and I ride it a lot. Are you referring to the "26" numbers in exposed carbon fiber or the ADAMO license plate? In the US, you can pretty much get anything you want if it isn't too long, isn't vulgar, or isn't already taken. My truck plate is DUCATI and the 996R is BLECMO. (You've got to spell it. Faster.)

In recent news, I've had the original Adamo tank and receivers repaired. Eventually it will get painted and go back on the bike.

In other news, it looks like I may start another similar project. I've had an '88 Tricolore frame with swingarm and corse hoop and rocker for a while. I've got a number of other parts, including billet calipers, corse intakes, corse Marvics, and exhaust. My preference would have been to do a 93-94 style build instead, but Marvin is bracing the '88 frame now and the next step will be to find an ST4S donor. No crazy motor build on this one though. I'm leaning towards a Falappa, Polen, or Roche tribute.
