Just thought I would post a few photos of my recently finished Ducati 888 SP4 1036cc Testerstretta project. First ride yesterday exposed that in town the long first gear of the racing box, dry clutch and no flywheel means getting off the line is tricky. It does not feel at home here but once out on the open road she is awesome. Power is around 165 Hp at the rear wheel and 130 Nm at 7400 rpm. Weight is around 165 Kg so she moves. It has been a long road to get here with many frustrations along the way but it all works and goes and I,m glad to say worth it. I can,t stop looking at it.

Ducati 888 SP4 1036cc Testerstretta finally finished
Just a couple more photo,s. There is not a lot of room in there, but it all fits and goes.
Top yoke plaque is a finishing touch. Yes it is the wrong number as they did,nt make that many so it is clearly fake but looks cool ........................

Nice job, how is the airbox fed?
dudlington
Airbox feed
Airbox is fed by a massive Carbon Fibre Airbox, fed by 888 carbon runners from the nose. Once the air gets in the box it is fairly well sealed.........simple, seems to do the job.
Photos attached.

Love The fact that looks like a stock Duke! Must be fun to ride 😁

Yes fun to ride............in fact she is polished up and ready for the Day out at Zwolle on Saturday the 16th. In the background is my 119851 project (1198S engine in an 851 chassis). The 1036 is loud but the noise from the 119851 is unbelievable.
Enjoy

Great Job, is that a Laverda SC in the garage i can see?
dudlington
It is a Laverda Jota ready to be restored (When I have time ). I,m still collecting parts.
I do not know if anyone went to the Ducati day at Zwolle on Saturday 16th May but the beast was there (In the rain). I think it kept a few people guessing what it was.

I used to have a Jota, my second favourite of all time, scary handling but who cares when it sounds with a sound like all calico being torn when it comes on cam.
If you dont get round to restoring it, let me know i'll happily take it off your hands and finish the job.
