Hi Gianpaolo, I will give your greetings to Edo next time I see him. It is a long time I take my bikes there for service, He is always an special guy to talk to, a "Guru" for Ducatis, and that's something very important if you really want to be sure your baby is in safe hands.
I 'm sure Phill will get enough information from the web site, if you come for a ride in Italy, let me know, it is worth a visit!

Beautiful Henk!
I hope to get a 916 someday. On my budget I will have to get a trashed one and fixerup.

The place is right, Phil. Next to the Alps, close to the sea also.....but talking about garages, yours is the right one!!!
At the moment I keep my Duc and my wife`s in the corridor next to the living room....

Ooooohhhh !!!
Superb Campagnolo Super Record parts on your bike !!!
These, dated end of 70's ......
I still have my Italian bikes (PAGANINI and COLNAGO) and ride them from time to time !!!

851corsa wrotePhil911, can you can make out what vintage lightweight bike it is in that image? the clue is on the waterbottle.
The 'super record' groupset was introduced in 1973, the same year Porsche released their 2.7 carrera rs lightweight........
---> According to the frame color, i hesitate between :
- MotobΓ©cane 1973 (Luis Ocana - BIC Team)
- Eddy Merckx 1972 (Molteni team)
Let's have fun together ... Me few years ago !!! π
Do you enjoy Flat 6 too ??

I'm glad to see such a pretty bicycle which is an icon, nowaday !!!
The bike I dreamed on when I was 17 !!! ...
Do you know which bikes company built up Merckx' bikes in 70's ???
Pinarello, Colnago, an other one ???
I think Troy Bayliss still shares our common passion. He's got 15 or 17 bicycles, especially Italian ones !!!
Today, I'm able to offer my 3 888's for sale, but unable to sell my bicycles. Both are a part of myself and remind me one of the most facinating period of my life !!!
Regards

What a fantastic website. Something about racing bicycles that I've always admired. I used to have an Eddy Merckx 15 speed racer in my teens. Shimano gears, Reynolds frame, Campi wheels. Looked the dogs' bollox. Sadly, it's long gone.

unfortunately, my garage is now empty...
just sold 1997 900SS/SP (yellow) two weeks ago...sold my 2001 996S tri color last week...
sold both to generate money to buy a house...once the house is bought, i'll be getting back into 2 wheels...
and i'm really leaning towards the 888 and 851 lines. they are very interesting bikes, and have a lot of character.
i also owned a 1995 900SS/SP (red). so i'm familiar with the carb'd SS models, and the fuel injected superbikes too. not too familiar with the 888's...so i'm gonna have to scour this site to learn more about them.
i've been a member of speedzilla for a while now, also CDC, and Desmohio.
i fell upon this site from Byoung; he was a bidder on a retro Vanson jacket i had on ebay, but it never reached the reserve (set way too high, cuz i couldn't bear to sell it at a reasonable cost).
anyway, nice bunch of bikes everyone has...hope to join in again soon.

Moving right along...here's one for the Italian "bike" lovers. An old picture from an old garage with my '92 900SL, with my "Chesini" racing cycle hiding in the background. Beautiful frame, but I can't remember the exact tubing (similar to Reynolds 531 but Italian), Mavic wheels in this pic, but I later fitted Campagnolo's with blade spokes (new thing at the time). I miss them both. π

A new toy this week, out with the ST2 and in with the 900 SS.
A bit of a doer up but not too much I hope, the S2R is going in for new engine casings under warranty so I'll need something to get out on.
As the bike came from near Ipswich I also got to meet up with SP2 Boy as well and a pleasure it was, next time over beer. Nogfest anyone?

Finally got around to taking pictures of whats in my garage.
Forgive me the BMW but since she takes me to work everyday I couldn't leave her out.
