Wanted 29 mm exhaust valves & rockers

Due to incorrect valve clearance 2 of the exhaust valves are turned to scrap. They are 29 mm for an SP3. Also all 4 opener-rockers (exhaust side) didn't survive the inferno. Can anyone help me out?

I've got a hat full of 29mm exhaust valves in pretty good condition, (You can have a pair for nothing if you pay the postage?) but as far as good condition opening rockers go...
If you find a cheap source let me know...

I've got the biggest bag of worn opening rockers (that I've pulled from other peoples motors) waiting to find a good (Reasonably priced reclaiming service) source of replacement rockers.

I'm a fairly big fan of MBP's kit...
But I've seen some pretty poor kit turned out by them pictured on Speedzilla.
I'm looking towards Megacycle at the moment, what do you think?
I like the look of the quality of their kit, also liking the bit about the depth of the resurfacing.

I've had some rockers replated by guy and they were just fine. I have no first hand experience with the megacycle rockers but have heard good things about them. One of the engine builders here in the states is haveing rockers done with that black coating, like on GSXR fork tubes, (name escapes me now). Maybe your cams are too lumpy!! 😁

DLC, diamond like coating. sigma performance was also offering some sort of coating surface treatment for rockers too, but i never spoke to neil about it.

we get ours stripped, polished, hard chromed to 50 microns, hydrogen de-imbrittled and polished. seems to work well. we have a heap on hand these days and just change them over. i think a 916 got 8 today.

In my case the valves were set so tight that even a solid diamond rockers wouldn't have survived. It's not just the chrome that came off, there are small dents in it. The cams are much harder (luckily!), they don't seem to be damaged.

I've contacted Stefan in Germany who is sending me the new rockers.

The bike is up and running again but now it sneezes sometimes from the rear cilinder, only between idle and 4000 rpm. Fuel consumption dropped from 1l/ 16 km to 1l/ 20 km. In- and outlet are airtight, plugs, coils, connections are checked, throttlebodies synchronized, TPS at 150mV fully closed. If i richen the idle mixture it seems to help a bit, but I don't think that's a solution. Could the timing have altered since the rebuilt (offset splines perhaps?) Please advise before I pull the heads again.

What kind of injection body does your bike fit ??
With or without air bleeding screws ??

Not sure how to interpret your question Phil, but the body is without air bleeders, the intake manifolds have 2, 1 on either side.

It's a good buz when it runs . Your rear is running lean by the sound of the sneezing. Is it getting hot? Do you know the CO's ? Was the throttle sync as per the instructions?
If you richen it up to IL/18km the cold should be cured, but not the balance. Give the trim screw a whirl. If the sneeze goes away, its back to the sync.

This set has them, the early ones don't. The ones on the intake manifold are for attaching the Vacuum gages.

This set is from a later model indeed. (btw I know where to attach the gages). CO was 1,5 %, so it's a little lean. Plug is the right color and rear cilinder wasn't overheating. I guess I'm not done making adjustments. Still worried that the timing isn't correct. Thanks so far

Before adjusting the TPS at 150 mV, did you disconnect the tie rod between the horizontal and vertical throttle bodies ???

Here are 2 different injection bodies (with and without air bleeders ...)

And back the idle stop screw all the way out so it is the throttle plate that stops rotation, not the stop screw.? and balance the TB's up about 3 or 4K rpm, not at idle.

Like others, I like to disconnect the throttle linkage between the TB's to insure that it is not holding the throttle plate with the TPS on it open.

The CO's need to be about 5. Its back to the sync for you. Your timing will be fine, other wise you would be mentioning no power or rough running.
