All that glitters is now Gold
Stafford
Great blog and a super job done. It certainly does not look like the bike I sold you in March. I have been following your progress and wish you all the success at the IOM event.

Congratulations
Well done Stafford, Stuart and the others that were involved.
The pictures do not do the bike justice
Quality build and a good finish.

Hi Phil, great to meet and we'll see you again next year with your entry. Really happy with the way things worked out in the end, the niggles we had had mostly been anticipated so we nearly had all the spares we needed in the store. I'll agree that the photos probably don't do Emily justice although she's a little fly splattered at the moment. Our speed will come with time, Stuart only had 5 practice laps since his off 14 years ago. We didn't get a flying lap in, but with a 97mph lap including a pit stop it's there if not in black and white.
Well done also to Paul on his three bikes putting some cracking times, but we won't mention the pit wall moment. 😃

Yes it was good to see you and Paul on Monday, shame about the weather for us day trippers.
I agree, 97mph with a pit stop is a very good lap. If I had crashed like Stuart I wouldn't be back, even after 14 years.
Grahame and I got a good feel for what we have to do next year, hope to see you there.

Hi Stafford,
I need some help, i came across with a pair of 5 spoke wheels from a Monster S4. Your Wheels are from model? Did they require some spacers?
Cheers from Portugal

Hi Dan, for the front I did indeed have an aluminium tube fitted, welded in place and trimed back to the OE length. Then you have to fit bearings to suit the 17mm axle and adjust the length of the spacer that would replace the speedo dive to suit. The rrear for me was east as I had a five spoke from an 1000SS that goes straight in, but I guess the procedure is much the same. For the rear also check that the sprocket carrier lines up correctly.
