Hope Swampy's on the mend! Give him me best!
Won't be there in March as at the SM2 submariners reunion...........Shadahadahoooooooooo!!!!
As for your single cylinder 452,706,851,916,955cc bitsa built in a garden shed during the war!!! Bring it on!! Be nice to compare what's what! Wouldn't matter - you would forget by the end of the ride 😉
Oi Del Boy/Pablo what was we talking about?????????
Just pulled the old starter motor it's rattling inside, the one I overhauled over the weekend doesn't rattle at all??? 😎
Lost a bit more weight from the bike this weekend, 😉
Fitted the T'i equipped lightened sprocket carrier/cush drive, removed the cable rev counter drive etc, next up is fitting the Ti' clutch basket retaining bolts, (possibly refit the STM slipper clutch) painting the Mag' alternator cover the correct shade of "Baby Shit" sandy yellow and then fit the Maxtonised Ohlins FG9050's complete with the extremely lightweight chrome moly clipons.
But I've to get hold of some new sealed taper roller steering head bearings 1st.
(I must compare the weight of a Showa leg against a Ohlins one)
After that lot I'll sort out wiring up the electronic rev counter and try to get the 5 spoke front wheel fitted with it's alloy spindle.
The power to weight ratio between your "Ultralight" and my old built in a shed nail gets closer matey,
I've also lost a stone since Xmas, all this part time work's wearing me out, but the weight's dropping off now.
You'll never narrow those shoulders of yours short of a serious accident, have you thought about fitting a much bigger fairing?
