Just got an 888 SP4, a few questions for the forum

The FBF 888 that won the AMA Championship with Troy Corser on board was actually 955cc's it ran a 66mm 916 crank with 96mm pistons similar to the last 888/926cc Corse bikes.

None of your dads were ever as 'ard as my Dad, he never wore a cloth cap or raced a whippet, but he did love black pudding.
On the crankcases and frame of my bike it says/numbered 851S3 that's good enough for me.
The fact that it can kick any SP's arse inc' the SP(4)S and SP5 is just a bonus, the added bonus is that I built it myself in a shed in Cornwall. 😁

That should be game set and match to me, but I'll sit back and wait for a response from the Northern Monkey.

The fact that mine will actually rev without blowing its guts out,means that after about 9k your probably toast!

If I spent the man hours on my engine that you have, we wouldn't even be having this conversation! I had the "go" from the start,which is why I've left the engine pretty standard!

I have no whippets,but 2 Salukis( I had three but he died 🙁), no doubt you have a labrapoodle/chihuahua /daschunde cross? Lol

IMO (as if anyone else's counts) the '92 model year 851 Strada, 888 SP4 and the 888 SP(4)S "ARE" the prettiest of all the 851/888 range.

Well I originate from Birmingham (cue mock Brummy accents across the interweb), ironically 95% of people here in Minnesota thinks that we are Auzzies due to the diluted accent.
So I guess I can sit on the fence a little on the north/south divide lines.
Looking forward to a turkey dinner tomorrow, followed by a long weekend of 888 stripping & cleaning!

In between adding fuel to the fire, 😏
today I've mostly been rebuilding/servicing the rear end/suspension and slotting in a lighter 5 spoke rear wheel to my '92 851/916cc old nail.

Steve B aka duc904red on here (who's the bigger boy who made me do it!) has been measuring up the front 5 spoke to see how to get it to fit, he's come down from Wiltshire for a visit but mostly he's been measuring up parts on my bikes with a view to getting them made...
For a Pig farmers boy/neuvo capitalist he's a pretty good egg, actually we're good mates who go to the IOM TT and bike rallies together.
