Hi MJP1. Thanks! It wasn't quite so good when I picked it up. A tatty rough runner it was in 2010. It is under going a rolling resto. So far I have replaced all of the body work, all of the carbon, screen, mirrors, exhausts (it had been dropped on gravel both sides and not looked after very well and the exhausts were scratched really badly), C&S (chain was almost seized) a bloody good service which included fork strip down as they had been stripped and rebuilt in the wrong order by someone and replaced the clutch. Next winter is engine out for repaint, frame and wheels to be repainted too. Then it is done.
Here is the body work after it came back from the sprayers. The bodywork used to be red SS panels.

All of your projects past and present look fabulous chap.
I well know the effort it takes to find the parts to build bikes like those...Well done! 😎
I'm still ploughing on with my own projects, whilst still taking on the odd interesting project for other enthusiasts and mates etc.
At the moment I'm forging on with my 955cc 851 motor (built into NOS late ST4 c/cases), whilst rebuilding a period mid 70's 950cc Bevel Endurance race engine...
Lots of fun and hard (but enjoyable) work.
I'm aiming to hit close to 140 rwbhp and 80+ftlbs of torque from a softly tuned 955cc Desmoquatro motor at under 9,500 rpm.
Actually I'm pretty confident that it'll hit those figures and it'll still be reliable.

Thanks Steve, I joined this site party because of you actually, as I remember the advice you used to give to people on Ducatisti.. as my next project involves an 851.. I will definitely need advice! :-D
