Can you give me any info or pictures on your axle and the clamp to hold it on the forks, the one I have with the forks isn't right. Going to perhaps have to have one manufactured.

Anything about the axle please, especially both sides of the bottom of the forks where the axle is visible, mine is missing some type of plate. What size is the axle, I have the same discs can you give me a dimension between them would imagine 120mm/130mm.

Did you make your own spacers, are you running the speedo drive? Sorry Henkel lots of questions.

here you have some pictures,hope this is what you are looking for.
i don't have a speedo drive,there is a spacer in place off it and on the other side off the wheel sits a smaller spacer.
i did not made the spacers everything was included when i bought the fork.
The big spacer is made from the speedo drive i think.

Thank you very much for taking the time to disasemble the front of your bike, extreamly generous of you really appreceated. It has ansewered most questions now seeing the pictures. However can you advise, it looks like my axle is the same as yours by all the measurements. The only think that loos different is you have a fixed nut on one side.

In the pics your axle is not all the way though? these leaves it about 10mm short? do you have a nut to screw on the other end?

In turn this means the shoulder on the axle is 10mm shorter in between the fork legs? if i push mine in so its flush on the outside I have about 20mm of the shoulder inside. This would change the spacer size for me.

And lastly are you able to tell me the width of the front hub on your wheel?

Can you buy an exhaust? (guess you are not talking about saving time)

When I did the same swap I had to make the spagetti from scratch because I could not think about having S4RS style exhaust on only one side. It was fun but very time consuming. (Maybe saving time is a good idea)?

What exhaust are you planning to buy?

No no buying one, posable getting Steve b to fabricate, it will be a 50mm straight through, in the normal style.

No probleme at all if it can help you out,
When i took the pictures the axle was not full tightent.
So the axle has to go about a cm more in to the leg,i just turned the axle in it by hand to show where the spacers came.
I have no nut on the other side of the axle,there is just tread in the fork leg,
Gonna take picture of so you can see how for it comes.(will be monday)
Gonna take the measerment of the wheel,but this is a standard size,it came out of my SS.

I think you have just done it, thankyou very much, no more pictures needed.

1. I will be using same wheel for now.
2. My axle passes through axle and has nut on other side. Axle 260mm
3. Your spacer dims should wor for me to then.

I should have this sorted mid week, then will check spacer sizes befour making, then will post pics,

Whatever you will have to pay for it it will be a bargain. It took me so long to do it I would have been embarassed to charge all the hours

One for the rear

Just got one of these for the rear 5 spoke

Nice! I won't use anything but a floating disc. All of the other ones I have tried dragged. I now make my own floaters out of the stock rear disc.

50MM Exhaust Mods Help...

Posting some pics, could do with some comments or opinons on the front cylinder exhaust layout. Have I got it right...

1. Dose it look right

2. how much space between the rear lnk pipe and swing arm should there be

3. Is the balance right between the tail pipe and rear sub frame

4. Scavange pipe still ok

Project 888 with 1038 Testertretta deep sump engine.

Just thought I would drop you a few photos of my exhaust I just had welded up on my project 888. 57mm diameter all the way through, to get through the swinging arm I had to flatten the pipe but it fits. Exhaust is split and will require a sleeve for the front cylinder otherwise demounting would be impossible. I have,nt tried it yet as there is still work to do on the electrics. I am running 996 SPS crank to get the longer stroke but I will be using S4RS clocks, ECU,KEYS, immobiliser/999 wiring to locate the battery on the LH side. The bearings for the swinging arm have been welded at the front of the 888 one for the rear pivot and the frame has an extra welded brace there. Huge Carbon Airbox, coupled with 1098 injectors. Should be good for 160 + Hp at the rear wheel
