Then there's the engine - oh dear π I was hoping to get away with a thorough cleaning and rebuild, but the clear coat is peeling off the cases heavily in big areas, and there's a fair bit of red staining on the clear coat at the back which won't clean off with anything I've tried. Looks like it might have to be totally stripped and blasted / tanked / whatever and redone from scratch, which won't be cheap π
Looking down the inlet ports, are they usually a bit rough?? Or has someone been in there with the 80 grit??

I'm over this bike, and I really regret buying it now. God only knows what state the engine will be in internally? Still got to check and rebuild the engine, do something with the forks ( which nobody on the planet seems to be interested in helping or doing any machining etc - hell most of them can't even be bothered to reply to my emails to say they can't be bothered doing any work!!!! ), fix the fairing properly from when the bike was dropped, repair the hacked wiring loom, paint everything, try to find some new front brake discs, and reassemble it. At this rate I'll end up spending the same amount I paid for it, to fix the f*#king thing π‘
Anyway, I'm back off to work tomorrow for another 6 weeks, to try and forget about this mess, and to continue the fruitless search for the unobtainable parts I need to get this show back on the road π
