P.S. Here's a set that are similar to the S4R. Probably the same, just not TiN. It appears as though the same basic forks came on a lot of bikes. I'm not up on which/what. I just know that my S4R came with the TiN forks.
Perhaps you should post pics of what you have so we can steer you in the right direction. You stated that the forks you have had 65mm spacing which leads me to believe that you already had the equiv. of Goldline calipers. What front wheel, etc. I really hate to see you buy "stuff" that you don't really need!

all the 50/54mm forks (41 and 43mm dia, 851, 888, 900ss, 900ms, st2, st4, st4s, s4, s4r) are the same showa internally with the crap valving requiring the rebounbd oil to flow the full length of the fork. some have nice gold coating, but are the same shit underneath. the main variations are the caliper bolt spacing, guard loaction method and axle size provision.

generally all the billet calipers are 40mm spacing, so you'll need adaptors or 40mm spacing forks.

Yes, only the superbike forks (916,996, etc.)have the long rod that doesn't require that the oil go the full length of the fork. The best solution is to have Rick install his 25mm cartridge "kit"
