that one is a direct replacement for the 888 one. it has the spade terminals not the plastic plug surround like the 916 type.
oh, the bosch number posted earlier will probably be wrong, it has 11 numbers. bosch part numbers are typically 10.

I also have a 91 851 and went through the same thing this summer.
I'm located in Northern California and had it replaced at Nichols Sportbike Service.
They some how cut off the top of the old pump and removed the pump internal parts. They then made a sleeve out of nylon or delrin that fit inside of the old pump's outer metal housing. They then used a newer style 888 pump, sliding it inside the old pump housing so the whole unit can be refitted into the rubber boot that holds the fuel pump in place.
