jarno888sps wroteSorry, i meant the guy from stretta chickened out... he never expected someone would actually pay 40 or 50k for the bike.
I think the bike is the real deal, but if he doesn't want to sell it he should refund every penny Nocaster paid him!
I'm pretty sure my bike is ok because the previous owner bought it from a Ducati dealer who owned the bike for a couple of years. But of course i want to be sure... So the best thing to do is send an email straight to Ducati?
Thanks!
I firmly believe that #002 is NOT a genuine SPS but a SP4 and the seller (Marc of Stretta) has a long police history of fraud. I believe he wanted claim he had a SPS......but couldn't sell it as such because he probably would go to jail when the bike was found to be a SP4.
When he got his $50k asking price, he realized he didn't want to go to jail over a motorcycle......so he refunded "MOST" of the $50k money, but the idiot felt he was entitled to over 5000 euro as compensation for his efforts. The fool.......all this did was bring in the police and lawyers.
So, the last I heard is that Marc is in deep poo with police and he should be refunding the remaining 5k+ euro to Norcaster.
Btw..... there is no such Ducati designation as SP4S. i thought there was..... but Livio Lodi, curator of the Ducati Factory Museum corrected me and the proper designation is SPS (Sport Production Special).
