Outstanding Jonathan. Superb project. Patience pays off.

Thanks for all the complements lads, well its finished (sort of, fairing going back to painter which isn't a bad thing as found out over the weekend the sprag clutch needs replaced๐ก ).
Would like to thank all of you that had input into this project, from sourcing parts (Guy, sp2boy, Mike, Henrik, Marvin) and offering advice (Phil, Steve, Jasper,Griff, Carbonf4) and anybody I have left out. Would not have been possible without the help from this forum (sounds like an Oscar speech now).
Bike got its first run out at the NW200 at the weekend and although the event was a bit of a washout with the weather, the bike drew attention like nothing else there (and there was literally thousands of bikes there๐ ).
Cheers Everybody๐

Stunning!
It really looks great!
I have not yet reached the finish you have in post 8.
You have just made me decide not to post any more pictures.
God work!

Nice work, but there is one thing I don't like: those brake discs.

Everyones a critic ๐
If anybody has a set of full-floaters to donate then I will gratefully take them ๐
Amongst other things (underslung rear calliper, oil cooler, set of marshiโs etc, etc) this is the next on the list.
However once I get the Sprag Clutch sorted I actually want to get out and ride the bloody thing!

Savage result Jonathan - you must be stoked! I'm happy for you!! ๐
I ended up going up to the NW200 at the last minute, but not on the SP4 unfortunately. (I'd been promising the Mrs a weekend away for ages - concidentally there happened to be a road race on nearby... Imagine that!!๐ ) Like you said - there were thousands of bikes there, but I would've picked that one out for sure if I'd seen it!
Congrats on a great result - now enjoy! ๐

Cheers Matt, used your template to make up the bum pad - thanks.
Must get a meet up organised sometime when our summer finally comes!

Nice one Jonathan. Are you planning to go to any more Irish Road Races this "summer"? I'm hoping to make it to the Ulster GP this year - "the fastest road race in the world" - but as usual for me it will probably be a last minute thing. Otherwise Skerries and/or Kells? That is all assuming we do get a "summer"...๐

Hi, i've just been admiring the work and your dedication (spelling)? to your project.
She looks really reaaly good, not OTT like some you come across, just right on the nose!! well done.
I'm not sure what pegs and hangers you have but it its of interest when i rebuilt my SP5, it came with some really nice trick German race pegs etc which for me were a little too high, although they are adjustable, i guess i'm just too big and tall, anyway, if you're interested say and i'll e.mail you pictures up.
I also have some 888 pistons and barrells somewhere in the roof as my Sp has the larger race engine in it.
Lovely bike, would love to see it in the flesh one day.
Cheers,
Guy๐

Hi Matt, don't really go to many of the road races - not a big fan - too many mates have not come away from them over the years if you know what I mean. A group have us have started a DOC here in the north and I'm sure there will be a big event organised for the 'summer'!
Thanks for the compliments Guy, the rearsets fitted are prototypes of ones that are being made by Race Supplies Direct. They will be up for sale soon, after a few more mods are made and he gets them into production. Maybe interested in those parts you mentioned, PM me.
Oh and for those critics out there, guess what I just got ๐
Cheers

Last Few Pics
OK last few pics of the bike - determined not to do anything else to her over the summer but ride it๐
However come the winter๐
Added a set of small rear indicators (number plate and these are easy removed), just for safety - with no mirrors can't see what the idiots behind me are doing๐ฏ

Well that turned out nice then, neat clean looking bike all round.Looks the business. Great pics. I have a set of Al exh hangers and a set of Al rear sets to fit later on to my white frame. I was wonder whether to anodize them black or not. Thanks for the insight to what Al looks like.
