Well done Jimmy and Marvin!
Thanks for getting the site back. Let us know how we can help with this and carry on your great work for future custodians of the 851 and 888 bikes.

Well that happened didn't it???
Thanks to all those involved in the return of the forum.
IMHO it would have been a mighty shame to have lost the resources collated over the years.
I'm happy to chip in a donation to keep the site running, as I'm sure are many others after this scare.
Please let us know what's needed.

Please let us know how to provide support to keep it going.

keep it up
I'm with Steve R to keep this valuable source of contacts and info. While the Pacific Peso ( A$) is a bit low I can offer some shekels on exchange.....

Marvin deserves a big hand for reaching back through all his records to find a good contact number for Jimmy. This got the ball rolling in the correct direction.
Also, thanks go to others who were trying to find a way to revive the forum, or at least capture archival data on the Web in case we could not contact Jimmy

Checking in, glad the forum is back! I may even take the 851 out for a run today to celebrate!
Well, ok, I was planning on taking it out anyway but I'm still glad the forum is back up.

Thanks for the efforts guys.
Would be a shame to lose the forum.

I fully agree with you Mark, years ago now I was contacted and asked to be (like you?) a moderator on this forum with a view to taking over if/when Jimmy found it to be too much for him.
I've been on standby ever since.
These days I'm semi/all but full time retired, still supporting 4 adults inc' me on my savings and I'm pretty short of cash, but when I 1st contacted Marvin I did say that I'd contribute $100 towards the upkeep of the forum if it could be saved.
OK folks it's beans on toast for tea for the foreseeable future.. 😯

Welcome back, old friend !
And with everything as it was.
A great outcome after a period when it looked far from certain.
Well done to everyone working behind the scenes to make this happen.
If nothing else, it gave us all time to reflect on the value of this forum and knowledge archive in our own 851 and 888 lives and come together to try and save it.
For me, that continues beyond this restart, and as others have said, happy to support the long term future through subs, or more active participation if something I can do is something that is needed.
Thanks again,
Jon

Thank you Jimmy and Marvin !!
Thank you guys for getting the Forum back up.
Is it right for me to assume that both of you are now co-owners (admin) of the site now? If so, great. If not, I urge you to share ownership with Marvin so there is two of you that can handle things in case (god forbid) one of you is unable to do so.
Thank you very much.

Fanatstic to be back! Well done guys.
So,
1. Do you need any money? Happy to pay.
2. Are you going to share the responsibility, a few of us would be happy to contribute?
Steben
Great to have it back , thankyou. It's funny you feel alone with your bike and its issues without the help of dedicated forums like this can provide. I haven't issues yet but can't ride it , no doubt they'll come my way and together we'll sort them 😉

As said in all the above comments, sooo glad to see the forum back up and running. what's the saying ? " you don't know what you've got 'til it's gone". Glad to contribute , let us know how and what is required.

Huge thanks to all involved. The wealth of knowledge here was instrumental in me deciding to take the leap into ownership. I'm so happy it's all been preserved, and hopefully it also helps many others in the future decide to own one as well.
Payday is next week, I'll throw some dollars in to help then.
What a relief

Great news !
