Marvin that eng sounds like its going to be a Torque monster. Is this part of a plan on reducing front tyre wear by keeping it off the ground?😄

I was quite surprised as these heads in stock trim flowed better than most other stockers . The other surprise was how different the flows front vs rear actually are .

After a season on the "rain bike" (900 ssie) due to problems with my etanol engine I must say the ssie is probably the most fun you can get on the track for a low cost.
My and Torbjörns ssie has only the suspension uppgraded (rear Öhlins and a K-tec kit in the fork). Rest of it is more or less standard (home made exhaust) with as much as possible thrown avay.

At Cartagena i march this year I made 1,57 laps with the ssie (78 rwhp), my friend with an 848 (124 rwhp, plus some other mods done) 1,54 and my third friend with a 1098 S (racing trim for BOTT)1,51.

Oh, Niel Hodgson made some 1,34 laps with his R1.....

I have not done anything with ssie (yet)....
I had about 20 track days untill now. There are 2 more in Sweden with the swedish ducatiklub wich I probably will join.
Me and Torbjörn plan to join a a track day weekend in Ochersleben in the beginning of oktober.

Sorry to revive an old thread!
My 2 cents:
I have had my 92 900ss for 4 years.I have added a 916 front end, FCR's, hi comp pistons and geared it high.

the 900 compared to the 851 picks up speed quicker but the power finishes just when the 851 is starting to take off.

I love them both.

The bike has long gone Steve to fund the racing addiction!

But i have retired now and sold the race bike and bits on and bought a ST4 as a base for a 888 project as you know 😄

Problem is i keep seeing more and more 888 parts for sale and..........😯
and I need to pay off racing debts 😡
