What's the consensus opinion on the collectibiity of a US imported 1993 888 SPO? I know they don't maintain the same status as an SP5, but production numbers were pretty low regardless.
Is it a bike worth investing in? I'm not happy with myself for selling my '92 851, particularly when I see what they're now worth.
Numbers are pretty low in the states so they are rare. According to a book written by Clayton Williams here are the numbers :
200 produced in 1993 and only 75*SPO Ltd's in 1994.* (200 more for 94 were imported but did not all sell so the rest were sent back leaving only the 75 sold)
Spec is nothing special but probably good value and still possible to ride than the SP5. If your not going to track it and just look , polish and ocassionally ride it then why not.
