A friend of mine owns a genuine SPS and I'm fairly sure it doesn't have the underslung floating caliper on it???
IIRC? The SP(4)S were pretty much the same as the SP4's and those didn't have the underslung floating caliper mod on them for sure.

So !! I also intend fitting tall flat bars to help long distance touring in the US, bimota single side front end on it also..its still a SPS but done how I want it, not what others expect....but thanks for the advice

think he was just helping you... if you're searching for a part that a bike didn't have then you may have to alter your search.

As you've pointed out, I was only saying that the parts he wanted weren't actually SPS parts.
I'm not a slave to originality my own bikes testify to this, but most SPS owners these days are after originality.
All of us build/modify our own bikes however we want, as I've said above it's not a problem to me.
I was only trying to help a fellow member...

no problem boys but the mess this bike was was beyond bringing back from the dead..we have another SPS thats totally original and unmolested so that will be a pleasure to both restore and own, and the "ruff" one simply an unusual project that will be used in all weathers ....
