marvin wroteA 926 is 64mm stroke (851,888) and the bore is 96mm. Cases would have to be bored to fit the 96mm jugs, don't know if an 8851/888 crank is compatable with the 916 cases or not.
I made a 907 out of my 851 by boring 916 cylinders to 95mm, did not need to bore the cases.
(Early 748 jugs can be bored to 95 mm's as well I'm told)
P.S. Just thinking about it the 888 crank would work if you used all of the other 888 stuff like left side cover, flywheel, etc. You would then have to use a P7-8. I don't know if there is any way you could use the 1.6 or 5.9 ECU that the S4 would have
If you used the 916 66mm crank and bored it to 96mm you would have a 955.
If i went 955 would all the 916 stuff be compatible?
