Steering stem nut size ??

Anyone know the thread diameter and pitch of the steering stem yoke nut??
Will save me whipping it out if anyone can help

If you mean the outside diameter, large nut under the top clamp (not the nut on top of the top yoke), it is 25mm x 1mm

Its the nut above the top yoke, Its the thread dia/ pitch im after,

Will the one in the link fit?? I know theres no hole but i can stick it in the lathe

I don't have one off but just measuring (guessing) the stem it looks like either 19 or 20mm x 1.5. Probably is a 20mm.??

I made some Corse replica nuts a while back and just looked at my stash of taps/dies. I have a 20mm x 1.5 pitch so my guess is that it is a 20mm.

Ok, If i cant confirm 100% i can whip it of in next few days, Was hoping the one in the link will fit, Cant seem to find the proper one, Tried all the usual places,
The one on my bike is a little marked with someone probably using a bi hex socket at some point and its annoying my when i look at it 🙁

Stein-dinse show this is available [20x1], part No 11..

Just measured one up I had lying around. M20 x 1.5mm pitch. Hope this helps.

When dealing with Aluminium bolt heads that you don't want to mang up, place a zip lock plastic bag type plastic over the head. Ohlin's tech told me that one. Works a treat.

Jack just arrived from the states. I bought 5 of them and already put one on my SP4 I was busy with. Protected it with some masking tape . They worked out at 8.50 each with combined postage............pm sent.

Out of interest I see you have your reservoirs fitted to your top yoke, Is that where they are originally were fitted at factory or have you shifted them?? Can I be a pest and ask for a bigger view of your dash area please??

Attached is a larger photo of the dash area. Previous owner had drill the top yoke for the resevoirs. I did think about filling with weld but unless I painted the top yoke you would always see the weld material if I kept it semi polished as I have. The bike is still not finished as waiting for the Brembo switch and a light holder for the temp guage.

Fill those holes if you don't like them by installing a button head cap screw or socket head cap screw. Preferably stainless.

Hi Jack,

The 851/888/926cc Corse (race) models had the M/cylinder reservoirs mounted to the top yoke, as in the earlier pic's in this thread .
This was to try and keep them out of harms way in the event of an "Off", making it more possible to remount and carry on in the race.
