Bungle
Putting belts on my 888 and on one of the cam pulleys the teeth of the belt is in line with the tooth of the pully. I have to either move the pully one side or other of the timing marks for the belt/pully to sync. Any help appreciated ref offset woodruff keys/adjustable pully.

I read somewhere about the compression stroke.............possible better informed on this forum can comment.

By how much do you have to meet be the pulley and is this after tightening the belts?

moving the cam in the pulley is not going to move where the belt sits. the belt is what is controlling the position.
