sourcing crank case bearings, any tips?

Hi there,

Trying to source crank case bearings for S4 cases.
Any tips where to buy those (preferably in Europe 😄)?

I think I need these ones:
RHP 7307 X2TB or RHP 7307 X2ETN
RHP 7207 X2ETN

plus some smaller bearings

I totally agree with Brad.
I don't fuck around as there's bearings out there with a different angle for the side thrust.
So now I always buy my main bearings from Ducati.
IMO it's worth the extra cash to know that you've got the correct bearings.

Yes,
I found out the angle should be 15 degr and that's why they are so hard to get. Those size bearings come standard as 40 deg angle (SKF).

I am gonna contact the ducati dealer, don't want to take any risks in this.

SKF Italy and RHP make them. The 2 means 15° other manufactures may use A, B, C etc google bearing identification, it explains it all. You can get them from China through Aobote. They have genuine SKF from Italy and cheaper with quick delivery. Yes I know A Chinese company not selling crap. I was amazed.

Thanks, I checked that out. They just do SKF bearings and after some surfing on the web I found that SKF does produce bearings with a smaller angular contact but they are 25 degr and not 15 degr.
Trying to figure out the nomenclature of those bearings is a PHD study on it's own!

I don't want to take any risk regarding my crank cases. I am sure there are alternatives to the RHP bearings, but after hours of surfing on the internet I just don't feel smart enough to go that route.

I did find a Romanian website that can deliver the RHP bearings for reasonable prices though.

This guy, calls himself Ciprian, is a fraud. As soon as I transferred the money I was no longer able to contact him. And of course no bearings. I got ripped of for 136 euro.
Ordered the bearings through the Ducati Kaemna for 190 euro (same as the dealer stated)

Yep that's them. We used at the shop, and bob and I still use RHP l, supplier here is Statwide Bearings. SKF does do 15° It is suffix 'C in SKF code. I'll email Aobote and confirm. I had to put 7206C and 7207C's ,as well as the cam bearings.l in the 250. It cut my vibration issue in half. Dr Taglioni put them in the late race singles that then became standard in the twins.

And yes the bevel bearings are the same, don't think they changed until 1198 ( Brad will know ) the Sp4+5 are the exception, they used a barrel roller bearing (Steve and myself tried them, both of us having similar service life issues.)

That is cheap. I am paying 190 euros at the ducati dealer.

No Gowanloch is in Australia. The pair of bearings is 150 Australian dollars, which converts to 97 Euro.
Here in the USA the local Ducati dealer sells them for $150 USD each, or $300 for a pair, plus $30 tax. I just ordered a pair for my Bevel-drive Ducati 750 Sport, and the cost was less than half the price of that of the Ducati dealership even with shipping from Australia factored in.
