db eaters

hi folks.

i'm about to do a track day with the 888/916. the bike has a 50mm exhaust. waaayyyy to loud.
did any of you ever tried/used db eaters with 50mm carbon termi's? and if so, what are the dimensions?
or should i go and buy other cans?

Measure your max diameter of your outlet hole. Try to measure the angle (If you have one) between the outlet flange and the body of the silencer...........then look online at https://www.ebay.de/sch/i.html?_from...eater&_sacat=0 , there are loads of them to choose from and relatively cheap. If you do not have a mounting hole then drill one. They will quieten down your noise but will it be enough ............ no body knows unless you measure it. Now you can always try to use an App on your phone to measure the difference (Keep the same distance and revs of course).

well, i had a trackday at assen last week.
i had some old cans lying in the shed and made them fit the 888.
i noticed that the bike had less top-end (duhh) and a huge power drop between 6000-7500 rpm but the bike was quiet enough for assen, even with an open airbox.
