No connection whatsoever to the bike but there's an NCR special 851SP2 in the Bonhams Stafford auction this April if anyone here is interested in buying an SP2.
I particularly like the headlight fairing on it with a smaller headlamp, it looks really beautiful.

Yes I believe it was a good price even with the add on,s for Bonhams. I am suprised it did not go higher. It came with a bunch of spares that I just purchased from the new owner. A lovely bike in lovely condition.

It started life as an SP2 and then everything in the engine was up spec. including the casings. Wheels are Magnesium , bodywork carbon fibre. Race ECU in front. Carbon and Magnesium everywhere. Check out the HD photos on the Bonhams website...........seems like just about everything has been changed. I bought all the standard SP2 parts...........all like new as it was built.........never raced. I would say a future classic and a Bargain...........my 2 pennies worth !!!!. It would be nice to know where the headlamp came from (Probably an Italian bike from that era)

The thread was discussing the sale of the NCR and some of it features/value. The new owner seems happy with his bike (so good luck to him , I am happy for him). But then you seem to make a remark about yourself not being a millionare...........I do not get your point , it is not about you. If you have a problem with your financial situation (Sounds like you do) then may I suggest you do something about it....................If you have nothing to contribute to the specific thread in question then why make a remark ???

This is a beautiful bike-- and a smoking hot deal. A great mix of late '89, early, and mid '90 factory Corse bits--take a look at those very early billet Ohlins and the slide off aluminum fuel tank.
The new owner has to be stoked if he has any knowledge of the early 4V Corse's. The fact that it is an NCR- which was heavily involved with Polen's bikes- is the icing on the cake.
Happy for the new caretaker--- and happy for Dudlington who was able to score NOS SP2 bodywork
