How did you manage to get it down to 179kgs dry, please let me know?
It's been a personal goal of mine to get my 851 down to that sort of weight and under "Wet".

My '92 851 has got complete carbon or carbon/Kevlar bodywork (inc' the fuel tank), every single fastener is Titanium, lightweight wheels, alloy wheel spindles, Corse/SP alloy rear sub frame, carbon "X" shaped air runners/front sub frame, carbon air box, chrome moly clip ons, Titanium cush drive pins and nuts, Lithium battery, Corse yokes, lightweight discs, billet Brembo GP calipers and the list goes on and on...
With the exception of the crankcases, outer engine covers (4 of which aren't Magnesium) and gearbox shafts, there's possibly not a single part on my old 851 that I haven't lightened.

I'd love to hear what you've done chap?

179 is light, but not that light. Surely yours is well under that Steve?

Look what not's there on the pics....I think yours will be lighter than you think....There's many different figures for the standard dry weights of 851/888's...I haven't weighed mine before it was done, but have weighed everything that's there/against what was there and subtracted from a dry weight figure...There's a lot of gear just not on mine...and I did say approx.

We'll see how it dyno's...I'm intrigued as its a nice piece of kit for a base design (Ally air 'box' plate in pics)...I want to see if you really need to 'ram' an 888/851. It should get a shit load more air (if you see pics) and then be dyno'd to suit. It'll either be shit and i'll bin it, perhaps a Mk2 version or be fucking great 😄 I'm guessing once tuned properly it'll work. If anyone's interested I can make the same set up for you. Gets rid of the convoluted standard 'Air block' if you ask me...it's just an idea to clean it up and make it simpler. Don't we all want cleaner and simpler? I know as a mechanic I do. Bikes anyway, not women....
The Nitron has no remote, No big square headlight, Ally air 'plate' so no air scoops/airbox just a guide and filter plus some similar stuff to yours...
