I'm getting my bike back on the road, it's now got a 916 engine as the original
Motor was destroyed, hoping to get it back on the road in a couple of months

Thanks Grif, still picking up bits off eBay for it, my mate who I bought it off had done a great job with it and I'm finishing it off, the 888 is my favourite model, getting new tyres and chain and sprockets this week

Please be aware that you should do a REVs check to make sure it hasn't been declared an unrepairable right off if you are going to register it. If it has you will need to get an engineering certificate before you can register it.
In the worse case scenario and the frame is damaged and has been repaired in a back yard, if the bike is on sold and repair fails, you will be liable for all damages including manslaughter.
The best intentions can turn very nasty if caution is not taken.

Thanks mate good advise, I did a revs before I bought it and it came up clear, had the frame checked and it's all good everything else that was damaged has been replaced👍👍
