Looking for a little info on high level exhaust systems, I know little about these and how they perform on a fairly standard 888, Just a bit of an insight would be great and best way to go about mapping etc, Not looking for big power just a good looking/ performing system,
Appreciated cheers jack

There is a seller on eBay selling Termignoni slip on mufflers and full exhaust for the older Ducati 888s. I ordered a set of slip on mufflers to replace my Ga.ca.moto slip ons. They are supposed to ship out today so I will let you know how they look when they come in. I am under the impression that they are having them made to order by Termignoni because they told me that it would take 7-10 days to have them made.
You can either try and find a chip to replace the one in your ECU or find someone to do a custom map. I have a FIM chip currently in my 888 that I bought over 20 years ago when I bought the Ga.ca.moto slip ons.

Hi mate, Is it a strada or sp your fitting them to? My bike has pretty small diameter headers and this is the main reason I'm thinking about changing, If for any reason fitting larger diameter system spoils the low to mid range running ide rather stay with the system I have, Some bikes don't like larger pipe work but I'm not sure about the 888?

So my bike is US only model 888 LTD which I believe is more like a Strada because I measured the pipe diameter at 40mm where it joins to the muffler. I think based on my limited knowledge that the SP is a 50MM diameter. I do not know what the effect is of putting a 50mm exhaust on a bike that came with 40mm but my general knowledge of the internal combustion engine would lead me to believe that you may lose some bottom end. I don't know how much tuning can be done to make up for it. Certainly more fuel and more timing would help.
