marvin It'd silicon carbide in a nickel matrix, plated. I have had 900SS barrels bored and plated with it to make 944's. I use Millenium here in the US. I'm assuming it's all in how much it's worn.

Ducal Racing Cylinder Services in Oldham UK do it, recommended by a guy over here in Perth. Got them to replate a pair for my 916R, fortunately we were going back to the UK so worked well.
Mr.R I'd be very, very surprised if Racing Cylinder Services in Oldham weren't using Langcourt to do their replating. They're a bike shop who supply services. As I posted earlier most of the top tuners/engine builders/Ducati specialists here in the UK use Langcourt. If there was a better place even if it cost more I'd use it. Steve R
Ducal For all you guys in the north of England, Racing Cylinder Services do their own Nicosil Plating and machining. They came recommended by one of Perth's best machinist and race engine builders Gav Forbes. Got a pair of 916R cylinders done in 2014 and no issues to date.
Mr.R I'll stick with Langcourt, knowing that here in the UK JHP, Moto Rapido, (who both run Ducati's/teams in the BSB) Louigi Moto, (very successful race engine builders) KTM UK (enough said about KTM?) etc, etc, etc, use them. mst4 Sean Hadley at "the tuning works" who also runs the rgv forum is a specialist when it comes to replating the barrels he insists in having the Pistons that are to be fitted and hand finishes the cylinders before returning them(shouldn't be a issue on a four stroke)
Ducal Just had 2 pairs of cylinders turn up from Racing Cylinder Services, machined to New OEM pistons. Great work
