Spondon yoke set - Adjustable off set option, any good ?

Got this adjustable Yoke set (Spondon made)

It came with the FG43 legs i was after... not sure if yoke set is any good.. stiffness etc etc..

What's you take on it, any experience here ?

Wow! It certainly looks the dog's danglers. I just marvel at the thinking in it, I've seen a lot of yokes with different inserts etc but nothing that looks quite like that. Brilliantly simple with the sliding bridge and would take no time to alter if you so desired.

I had those on my Spondon Sound of Singles race bike. They were great, you could make changes to the offset for different tracks in minutes. Once I got the bike dialed in, I used the pretty much the same offset everywhere, but it allowed me to make a change and do back to back testing in the same session.

Wow. You ended up with them.
Those were the yokes that originally came with my Spondon frame. When I bought the chassis, I passed on the front end.

btw. I have had Spondon yokes on several bikes now and they are awesome

Yep. im not sure how much work it will take to make the stem axel fit to the 888 Frame.. rest of dimensions should be 1:1 match..

I have a set that fit my frame, if I can give you any dims let me know. I don't have the packers.

Also some one has them on there frame on a nice project on here third picture.

Brilliant indeed !! I wish I had thought of that when I made mine although 27mm offset seems about right on my bike.

They're almost identical to the adjustable Yokes made by Harris Performance back in the day.
Steve Wynne aka Sports Racing (formerly Sports Motorcycles of Manchester) used Harris yokes on some of his 851/888 race bikes.
I fitted them to a few Bevel Ducati specials back in the day.
There was a member on here who had a set of the Harris ones that I tried to borrow to copy, to have some made up for fellow forum members but...
The idea died a death. 😏

Edit...Surfking's set look more like Harris yokes to me???

Meassurements off for streight swap.

Did some checking this afternoon on that yoke set...

Off set in the current configuration is 34mm.. with 9mm spacers, it will go down to 25mm..

Top end 56mm and lower end 53mm... bushings will make it take the FG9050 legs

Center to center of legs are 215, hence it's 10mm to wide (vs STD 205mm) ... hmmm. 15mm off set rotors will make that up + 10mm longer front end axel needed.

Main headache now is the lower bearing is bigger size, hence ill need to open up the bearing ring (Quite easy custom turning part)... or make a new stem axel to match the std bearings... well see.

Easy is no fun... some would say ...

Remove central stem and machine a smaller diameter to be able to buy a standard bearing set...........should be the easiest ???? Nice set of yokes..........

Yep... only issue doing that is that material will be rather thin as they have drilled bigger hole from bottom to take out material.... if that stem goes... im toast ! :-0
