What type of Plastic under the 888 Seat?

Anyone know what type of plastic the underseat tray is made of on a Ducati 888 as I have to do a repair with a plastic welding kit and need to fill a hole? Is it ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene), PP (polypropylene), PE (polyethylene) or PS (polystyrene)?

Not at home just now, but here some general advice

If you cant find any markings anywhere on the part, typically a Triangle with the PE, PP etc inside ... make some small chips and burn them..

PE/PP smells like a candle burning, little smoke... If candle smell : most likely its PP
ABS, burn with thick smoke/sod, rubber smell (the Butadiene = Rubber
PS : its not (to brittle)
PA : smells like a finger nail burning

ABS and PS can be glued with thaditional, PP and PA can not.

All can be "welded" , maybe "hot melt" would work given you can find the matching hot melt material, i would try to find a replacement part...

I have a welding kit, with all of the materials covered, depending on the results of research and tests. Many thanks for the guidance and I will look into testing out some samples.

I have tried to find a replacement, however, they aren't readily available and the ones I have seen (old eBay adverts) have been a bit pricey.
