I am in the middle of restoring my new to me 1993 888 SPO. There was no owners manual when I got the bike. Can anyone tell me the Clutch stack height for the 93 888 SPO? Need to get it right the first time. Thanks in advance.
Mr.R
I personally don't worry about stack heights, I just put in enough plates to not drop off the end of the centre drum and free off when the clutch lever has been pulled in...
Nil drag and Nil slip. It works for me!
But if you're dead set on a stack height, it will be exactly the same as the 851/748/916/996/ST4/ST4S etc, etc, etc, etc.
They all pretty much run the same clutch set up.

38.5mm is a std pack. if you get some 1.5mm steel plates you can get 8 frictions in like a 1098 pack and go down on spring pressure to make the lever nicer.
it's not really a variable. the thinnest plate is 1.5mm, so it's either correctly packed or wrong and if it's worn it'll be less.

Thanks Brad!
Brad,
Thanks for the info on the stack height, much appreciated, should make the slipper installation that much easier. Hoping to have my restoration done in the next week or so!

if you're fitting a slipper then you need to find out what that specific slipper requires and use that.
