Gentlemen,

Just purchased a 1993 888 SPO, been hunting for one of these for some time and I believe I found a good one from Johann Keyser at Moto Motivo. It will go well with my 91 900 SS and my 94 916. I was hoping you guys could help with some production numbers on the 93 SPO's? Any other feedback or facts about this year model would also be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

P.S. Nice bikes, I have had several 900 SS's and now have a 2000 748 which at some point will have a 996 engine in it.

Thanks for the welcome, great forum and I look forward to getting some great info. I did find the production numbers, very helpful. Love both my Duc's but the 900 SS is one of my favorites! Thanks again!

Here is the information that I was able to find on the production numbers. Hope this helps.

1988 models: = 207 (of which 54 were in the USA for the AMA challenge).
1989 models: = 751 Superbike Stradas (& 110 SP).
1990 models: = 1361 Superbike Stradas (& 380 SP2).
1991 models: = 1200 851 Stradas (& 534 SP3 & 16 SPS).
1992 models: = 1402 851 Stradas (& 500 SP4 & 101 SPS).
1993 models: = 1280 888 Stradas (& 500 SP5) (& 290 SPO -for the American market).
1994 models: = ???? 888 Stradas & 100 SPO for the American market.

All the info I have says for the '88 Tricolore:
207 Kit bikes
300 Stradas

So, that's something over 8,000 in total.
