RWG God if I have read it right, RIP Nicky I have met him on several occasions even had a drink with him a lovely man. Very sad day
wgsvintage That iconic photo of Nicky, feet up, full throttle, full lock reminds me of the last time I got to see him race in person. It was at an AMA mile at Vernon, New York during a break in his road race championship schedule. While it was an unexpected pleasure for us fans to watch him wring out his XR on the dirt that night, what I was most impressed with was how genuinely friendly he was with each and every one of all those fans of his who came up to him in the pits to wish him well and say hello. A real gentleman.
