cmd Hoping for some advice / help. I have a 1991 851 Strada which had a leaking radiator in several places. I couldn't find a new one so had my old one re-cored. Trouble is it doesn't seem to fit now! When I attach the radiator on the top mounts the fan hits the cylinder head and it does seem to me as if it sits too low. If I lift it up a little the fan clears the head and I can get the bottom / side mount to line up. My suspicion is that the re-conditioners have not put the top mounts back in the correct location somehow and now the radiator is sitting too low. Other pictures seem to show the bottom of the radiator above the cylinder head. I guess what I now need is for some measurements off a standard radiator to compare. Could anyone measure the height especially from the bottom of the rad to the centre of the top mounting lug hole. Any other measurements most welcome so I can go back to the people who did the re-core as it wasn't cheap and now I don't have a radiator! I noticed in the factory manual that the radiator is curved. Mine is flat - is there a curved radiator that I could fit and if so what else would I need?
cmd Just uploading some pictures to try and show the problem more clearly... On the last picture the water pipe is almost horizontal - other pictures I have seen it seems to definitely slope upwards...
