91 851 extended mirrors

I am looking to see if there are any extended length mirrors for my 91 851. I know Vitaloni had mirrors for the 851/900, would like to know if they are still available. It really bothers me to ride it and not be able to see anything but my elbows in the mirrors. Bothers me so much that I either need to find an alternative or sell the bike.

I just bought a bike with these mirrors. Clearly one of the last owners went to a lot of trouble to make a solution to the same problem you describe as the extension blocks are machined Alluminium.

FREE ............ to the first person who wants these as I was going to sling them. Happy to put them in a box but the new prospective owner must pay the postage.

Coincidentally, a pair of Vitaloni mirrors just came up for sale on the TT/F1 forum:
"(2) Vitaloni mirrors. I bought these off eBay but the spacing for the fasteners is not right for my F1. The distance between centers of the mounting holes is 63mm. They're in excellent condition but for a small crack in one of the bases, which should neither be visible nor a problem when mounted."

I agree with you here Mark, I don't even run mirrors on my road bikes.
FFS "What's behind me doesn't matter" the 1st rule of Italian driving/riding and the Police haven't got anything fast enough to catch me if they were allowed to chase me, which they aren't in most of the UK.
...but for those who really feel the need, Tony Brancato of Brancato Engineering in the UK makes up very neat spacers for the OEM mirrors.

Here in the US it's a good idea to see what's behind you. Especially when you do something illegal like passing on double yellow! I just move my elbow out of the way!!

Sorry we don't all like that. Ive had 1st, 2nd gen gsxrs, ninjas etc, I could easily see on all of them, much easier than this. Its not me doing illegal acts that concerns me, its all the idiots around me that is the problem. I do like knowing whats behind me. GEEZ

I dont mean to post threads where they shouldnt be. Looked at many of the threads before I made the post, i.e; duplicate key, carbon repair, paint protection film. It seemed to me an appropriate location for the post.
I dont use the forum a lot, but many of the sections seem to have posts that could fit elsewhere.

Not a problem Doug-- I just moved it and wanted to explain why it moved. I only moderate the Corse sections and I often do not check the forum for long periods of time so many of the non-Corse threads get by me. Accept my apology for adding to the confusion by not being more on the ball.

Oberon convex or flat bar end mirrors are a solution. The little ones work and are unobtrusive to the look IMO. Then put decals over the holes. Very corsa looking. 😁
