I feel for you Steve. My rule is that I don't turn the key on until I look down and visually verify that the stand is up, and then double check with my foot. But I have no doubt that it will still get me.

Hi Bill,

A couple of reasons why I forgot to kick it up.
1st I was STUPID/not thinking straight, running late having just got the bike running sweet and...
My 851 is the only bike I own that has a side stand and I hadn't ridden it since last autumn.
I've been carrying out a few more mod's and loosing some more weight from it.
