Got a repro dash as pictured but can anyone confirm the sizes, I only have temperature gauge from road bike but no tacho, however the hole fot the temperature gauge appears to be to big.

Was there a different one for race bikes, and can anyone tell me what the size of a race tachometer? I thought it would be same as road version which I think is 80mm.

Any help greatly appreciated.

You need the sponge frame ! (Road and race temp gauge same one)

Hi Nick...

I don't think you will find one !, but i can send you the outlines and you can cut it out from a 20mm sponge sheet.. ?

The one i have is NOS (its punched out) but not that nice of a finish (Hot wire or a fine saw cut, can do just as nice a part IMO) and for small money...

Here the outline... if you print out on paper and ensure holes are about the right size (scale your print if needed)... rest will be fine as well !

Good luck ... lets see/hear about the result :-) .. I have seen some foam sheets on EBAY UK..

Thickness : 20MM

NOTE : OUTLINE IS THE BACK SIDE !!

Do you have any experience with the foam type ... the original seems like a thermoplast foam.. very easy to damage / deform. (I have been thinking trying some rubber foam, with less deformation tendency (i.e moss type)

Not at all. Mine is NOS too, as the alloy dashboard.
I haven't try to make another one. I just have redraw it in case of (and thinking that it could be usefull for someone else).
