stiglarsenDK Spend a few hours last night breaking a 888 strada engine 93' which will serve as donor.. I allready knew the casing was damaged...so no surprises there... Just to share how not to fix things... Looks like someones grand mother made a real effort with a tube of black silicone... :roll eyes: (some people should simply not be allowed to touch any motorcycles, specially red ones !! 😡 ) One surprise came up ... looks to me as it has been upgraded some time in its past and missable life... See connecting rods... looks like old version steel rods ? it has 20mm small end.. (for comparrioson new steel pankl in second foto) Or did some bikes come like this from factory ?
stiglarsenDK steel or cast ? Hi Steve Thanks, they do look like steel and maschined and not casted... ? Only visible is a number / stamp 042 , same place as the pankl. hmmm
