Used would be best, I could even try to do up a shappy one - it would be a new experience mind you :-)
Failing a used item, could anyone please recommend a supplier for a new seat unit ? I've researched people such as Recambia Weiss (sp) and just don't get the feeling of it being a quality item.

Hi Mr R, and Dudlington - sorry for my ambiguity; I'm actualy after both realy.
For one project I need a complete 900 SL rear tail unit + pads.
And for another I'd like a complete 851 setup.
Buying new is not an option I want to follow due to costs mostly.
I'd happily repair damaged units if they were available too.

As you're prepared to sort out a damaged 2nd hand item.
Why not buy the Recambia Weiss unit/s and sort that/them out/strengthen them at the weak points?
That's what I'd do.
Quite a few forum members have fitted Recambia Weiss kit and are quite happy with it.
I spent that little bit extra and bought top quality QB Carbon kit and still had to sort it out before getting it painted.
