Greetings all!
I just switched over to a UNI foam air filter and I noticed my bike (888 SPO) is now running a bit raw from 5-7000 rpms. My question is, can the filter alone change the air/fuel ratio that much to require a fuel map adjustment? And if so, how much, percentage wise, should I add to the map? I'm thinking 1-2% from 5000 rpms on up should help. Any thoughts?
Thanks again!

Yes a free flowing foam filter will lean off the mixture.
Back in the day when fitting a foam filter, open cans and either removing the air box lid or drilling a few large holes in it, owners used to fit a chip that was +5% across the whole map.

Well, I'm at 6% over already and that seemed good, with the spaghetti header, 50mm cans and chopped airbox lid. I added 1% more from 4000-5000 rpm and an additional 2% from there on up. It feels buttery now from 5000-7500 rpms then starts to feel a bit raw again up higher. Might have to add a little more up top. Finiky things, these fuel injected motorcycles!
