Anybody know where I can find a spec for a DB2 EF?

I am looking (again) at a DB2 and believe the EF models were fitted with flatslides as standard.

If so 39 or 41mm?

And another gent here in town has an EF as well. His came with CV carbs.

But they are US models, maybe the Euro units came with flatslides.

I am still seeing information out there that the EF final edition models were flatslided

And most of the DB2 specs say Mikuni carbs but some DB2's were also injected ..

Confusion for me lookimg to get one but not sure which model to hunt

A set of flatslides are not that expensive tho

they are if you go for Keihin FCR's someone on FB posted yesterday £1500 for a set of 41's

Well I went for the DB2 and like it a lot

A few little things to sort before the rain stops.

I have seen 41 FCR's new over here bit £1400 seems a lot of money so I will wait patiently for some to turn up. Perhaps little point unless I go the next steps and spark up the ignition a bit, fit high compression pistons or even a 944 kit

In the meantime i went for a dynojet 2 kit for the CV's big K&N's and dumped the air box + its got nice open carbon cans - runs well on the dyno but not got it registered yet so no road run.

Very compact and short kinda feels like a 250 but the real test will be a good ride

I have had my radar on for a nice one for a while now and I am really looking forward to a ride sometime very soon

Not that many were made so choices are limited - this one is very low miles and unrestored and looking good for 20 years old

Bimota DB2 and Friend

Well as normal its taken longer than I thought/hoped but I now have a stunning low miles DB2 on the road and yesterday before and after work were spent scrubbing in new tyres.

Completely rebuilt shock with new shaft and anodising, lots of cleaning of eveything, recoating engine covers, polished headers, dynojet stage 2 + huge K&N's (no air box) and she just flies and handling is super (more setting up needed)

Apart from the dynojet she is bog standard and really just needs a radial master for a bit more feel and more sunny days!

The other distraction has also taken time - all new brakes, bilstein shocks, new front springs and clutch and its actually good fun for 4 wheels!
