Hi Stafford,
I'll be travelling light and won't be bringing a tent, I hope it's OK for me to sleep in the Gazebo and be the forum guard dog?
If the last ticket doesn't get taken by a forum 851/888 member, can I bring a good old friend riding my '79 900SS?
He's the former Chief Technician for KTM UK, a class winning Paris/Dakar Rally mechanic, finished 3rd in the British Enduro Championship and has run his own tuning business.
A very handy chap to know.

Scratch the request for my mate, he's tied up with family matters that weekend...
He's gutted though as he knows what a privilege it would have been to ride the old Bevel.
I've owned it since new (38 years now) and only 2 people other than me have ridden it.

Hi folk,
Just arrived at digs, Priest House hotel having a beer after a good ride down A6 from Borders to kendal, then joined M6,not so good from Manchester via duct upto Walsall but worth it.
I see opens 9am, is this time right to bring bike in? Or should I be earlier
Assuming main entrance gate 21, link will not open on tablet.

Lucky old you mate...
After working on my bike until this morning I finally got it finished only for this to happen...
I got to the top of my drive before the side stand that I'd forgot to retract hit the floor, I carried on to the local petrol station to pump up the tyres and fill up with 99 RON...
It was then that I found that the side stand had broken off part of the crank case casting and the bike almost fell over...BOLLOX!!!!
However I'll be up at Donnington by mid morning tomorrow on my '79 900SS and ...
I've already worked out how to sort out the (almost) F'cked 851 C/cases without the need to drop the motor and TIG weld the broken part.
It's still a big BOLLOX though turning up at a 851/888 meeting on a tired old Bevel 900.
I hope you'll all understand and forgive me?

Many thanks to Stafford & Liz, from putting on this gathering, the hospitality second to none, Nice to meet you both.
Hope to see you at Manx this year, penciled in my diary hopefully all goes well.
Great to meet you all and put faces to names, new and old. Still for me the best forum, full on knowledge and easy going folk.
PS great ride home, actually sunny up north๐

Many thanks for your kind words but it was a pleasure to get a few owners together to share the knowledge.
In no particular order, thanks to Jason for helping me get some gas for the sausage sarnies and for bringing a stunning SPS, to Paul and Richard for making the effort to stay all weekend, Nathan for getting his bike covered in diesel soot and cleaning it off. Well done to Travis for flying to the Isle of Man to borrow his dads 888 and bring it over on the ferry, jeez man well done. Finally to Steve R for trashing his casings but still rocking up on his awesome bevel around 250 miles to attend.
I think if you made it it was worth the trip so much to see, hear and smell, surely everyone like a bit of two stroke? Finally thanks to Liz for allowing me to build bikes in the conservatory and still make drinks and food for us.
I'll post up a few pics tomorrow.

Echoing the thanks here for bringing it together, Stafford and Liz it was a pleasure to meet you.
Apologies we didn't introduce ourselves to many others, we went for a gander and to watch some racing, by the time we'd come back the place was empty! Lots of great machinery around and fantastic to see it all in action too.
This event was my original target date for getting the 851 ready, but that didn't go to plan... I've got my dads 888 for a couple of weeks now so I'll probably make the most of it while the sun is out :-)
Stafford, we'll hopefully bump into you at the Manx (my new target date for the 851).

851/888 get together
Fantastic shots of the event and forum group enclave Stafford. For those with an ocean and budgetary restraints preventing our participation, it was still nice to see the impressive turnout. Many thanks and a hope some of us in the States can one day be a part of a group gathering.
