MarkT wroteHow many pistons are required for Omega to make the run. Never heard that Omega would produce short runs-- unlike Wisco. I have a set of NOS 926 rings in Ducati shrink wrap cards with no indication of the ring supplier. I am surprised that Omega could not give you a list of the suppliers that they sourced their rings in the late 80's early '90's-- strange.
Do you wish me to make a few skirt measurements on the 926 Omega pistons I may have on the shelf to try to narrow down what you want Omega to build? I agree with Omega in the sense that I have had a few sets of 926 Omega pistons and they all were a bit different in the skirt and on the top face- and I think they had the same Omega number on the underside. . But the rings were always the same dimensions.
G'day Mark
Minimum run is 10 sets, I have 3 motors which leaves 7 pairs which I would sell on a none profit shipping covered basis.
I have a motor with the top end removed so I will take measurements when I fly home from work. If you can provide measurements aswell that would be great, I anticipate that they will vary. Even though the Pistons were stamped with the Ducati part number, Omega cannot be 100% sure without measurements.
